How Do I Monitor the Network Quality of a Direct Connect Connection?
Direct Connect plug-ins detect end-to-end network quality of connections and monitor two metrics of remote subnets: network latency and packet loss rate.
There are two types of plug-ins:
- dc-nqa-collector: monitors the connections created on the Direct Connect console.
- history-dc-nqa-collector: monitors historical connections.
For details, see Installing Direct Connect Metric Collection Plug-ins.
| Metric | Metric Name | Meaning | Value Range | Monitored Object | Monitoring Interval |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| latency | Latency | Network latency of data transmission over a connection Unit: ms | ≥ 0 ms | Connections and historical connections | 1 minute |
| packet_loss_rate | Packet Loss Rate | Rate of packets lost during data transmission over a connection Unit: Percent | 0–100% | Connections and historical connections | 1 minute |
