What Are IP Addresses for Interconnection in Direct Connect?
IP addresses for interconnection refer to the local gateway and the remote gateway. The local gateway is used for connecting to the cloud, and the remote gateway is used for connecting to your on-premises network.
The local gateway and remote gateway must be in the same IP address range. Generally, a subnet with a 30-bit mask is recommended. You need to plan an IP address range that will be used at both ends of the connection for network communications between your on-premises data center and the cloud.
