Impact on the System

The active and standby channels fail, and the internal communication links of the two iMaster NCE-Campus devices fail. As a result, a large number of BGP routes flap.

Possible Causes

The internal communication links between two iMaster NCE-Campus devices are disconnected, and heartbeat packets are lost.

Procedure

  1. Run the display interface command to check whether the status and configurations of the interfaces between the internal communication links of the iMaster NCE-Campus devices are correct.

    • If so, go to step 2.
    • If not, ensure that the interfaces are in the Up state and their IP addresses and routes are correctly configured.

  2. Check whether heartbeat packets are lost due to heavy service traffic.

    • If so, reduce unnecessary service traffic.
    • If not, go to step 3.

  3. Collect alarm and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
