Associating the Network of a Standard Dedicated Resource Pool with SWR Enterprise Repositories

Currently, you need to use SWR enterprise repository to deliver training jobs in a dedicated resource pool. However, the network between dedicated resource pool and SWR enterprise repository is not automatically connected. As a result, you need to manually configure the network connection during job delivery. It is an urgent issue to implement automatic network connection between dedicated resource pools and SWR enterprise repositories. To address this problem, ModelArts allows you to associate with SWR for network connection between dedicated resource pools and SWR enterprise repositories. This allows you to conveniently use images in SWR enterprise repositories to perform training and inference jobs in dedicated resource pools.

Prerequisites

  • You have created a ModelArts network and a dedicated resource pool. For details, see Creating a Standard Dedicated Resource Pool. Currently, only ModelArts Standard dedicated resource pools can associate with SWR enterprise repositories for network interconnection.
  • You have purchased an SWR enterprise repository. For details, see Purchasing a Repository. Moreover, the repository contains the images required by ModelArts.

Permissions

When associating an SWR repository with ModelArts Standard dedicated resource pool, you need to add the permissions below to the SWR repository. For details, see Assigning Permissions to Individual Users for Using ModelArts.

swr:instance:get

swr:instance:createTempCredential

swr:repository:getArtifact

swr:repo:getRepoTag

Associating an SWR Enterprise Repository

  1. Log in to the ModelArts console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network under Resource Management.
  2. Locate the target network and choose More > Associate SWR Enterprise Repository in the Operation column.
  3. In the displayed window, select the SWR repository and click OK.

If no SWR repository has been created, go to SWR to buy one. For details, see Purchasing a Repository. Then, upload the images required by ModelArts to the repository.

On the Network page, locate the target network and check the value in the Associated SWR Enterprise Repositories column. If the value is increased, the association is successful.

After the network is associated with the SWR enterprise repository, the dedicated resource pool bound to the network can communicate with the SWR enterprise repository. You can use images in the SWR enterprise repository for training and inference in the dedicated resource pool.

Disassociating an SWR Enterprise Repository

  1. Log in to the ModelArts console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network under Resource Management.
