Disabling HSS

Scenarios

If your business requirements change or you need to reassign quotas, you can disable host protection to release the quota. The released quota can then be allocated to new protection targets.

Before You Start

Disabling protection does not affect services, but will increase security risks. You are advised to keep your servers protected.

To unsubscribe from the pay-per-use quota of a server, you just need to disable the protection.

Disabling the Basic/Enterprise/Premium Edition

  1. Log in to the HSS console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Asset Management > Servers & Quota. Click the Servers tab.
  4. (Optional) If you have enabled the enterprise project function, select an enterprise project from the Enterprise Project drop-down list in the upper part of the page to view its data.
  5. Click Disable in the Operation column of a server.

You can also select multiple servers, and click Disable above the server list to disable protection in batches.
