Enabling Multi-Account Management
After multi-account management is enabled, the security administrator can protect the data of all member accounts without logging in to them. This section describes how to enable multi-account management.
Prerequisites
- The organization service has been enabled. For details see Creating an Organization.
- DSC has been authorized as a trusted service. For details, see Enabling or Disabling a Trusted Service.
- The account is an administrator or delegated administrator. If the account is not an administrator or delegated administrator, specify a delegated administrator.
Constraints
- After your account is added to the DSC organization, the administrator or delegated administrator can view and manage the assets of member accounts in the organization. Currently, multi-account management is not supported for LTS assets. Therefore, such assets cannot be viewed by the administrator or delegated administrator. You can click the current account to switch accounts from the drop-down list and manage the assets of member accounts.
- If the delegated administrator permission of the DSC trusted service is revoked, the resources of other member accounts added by the delegated administrator to DSC will be cleared 2 minutes later, and the multi-account management function will be hidden from the account.
- After the member account is deleted from the organization, DSC will clear the resources of the member account under the administrator account 2 minutes later.
Procedure
- Log in to the DSC console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region or project. - Choose Multi-Account Management from the navigation pane.
- Click Enable Multi-Account Management.
