Creating an Intelligent Report

You can create an intelligent report to summarize monitoring data of cloud resources into a water level analysis report and receive the report download link via email. This section describes how to create an intelligent report.

The intelligent report function is only available in certain regions. You can see these regions on the console.

Constraints

  • Intelligent reports are available for the following cloud services: Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Relational Database Service (RDS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Backup Service (CBS), Content Delivery Network (CDN), GaussDB, Distributed Cache Service (DCS), MapReduce Service (MRS), Cloud Search Service (CSS), Distributed Message Service (DMS), Object Storage Service (OBS), TaurusDB, and Elastic Load Balance (ELB).
  • Intelligent reports can be stored for six months.

Prerequisites

You have purchased cloud services.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
  1. Choose Enterprise Cloud Monitoring > Intelligent Reports.
  2. On the Intelligent Reports page, click Create Report.
  3. Set parameters based on Table 1.

Table 1 Parameters for creating a report

    Parameter

    Description

    Example Value

    Name

Name of the intelligent report. The value can only contain letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). It cannot exceed 32 characters.

    Daily ECS Report

    Type

Type of the intelligent report. Currently, only the water level analysis report can be created. This parameter cannot be changed after the task is created.

    Water level analysis report

    Cloud Product

Cloud product whose resource statistics need to be collected in the intelligent report. You can select up to 10 cloud products.

    Elastic Cloud Server - ECSs

    Frequency

Interval for collecting statistics on cloud product resource usage and sending email reports. You can select Once, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
    • Once: Statistics on resource usage of the selected cloud product within a user-defined period are collected to generate a one-time report.
    • Daily: Statistics on resource usage of the selected cloud product within a day are collected to generate a daily report.
    • Weekly: Statistics on resource usage of the selected cloud product within a week are collected to generate a weekly report.
    • Monthly: Statistics on resource usage of the selected cloud product within a month are collected to generate a monthly report.

This parameter cannot be changed after the task is created.

    Daily

    Time Range

Time range for collecting statistics on the intelligent report. This parameter cannot be changed after the task is created.

    • If Frequency is set to Once, you can specify a time range. You can only query data within one month, and each report must cover no more than 30 days.
    • If Frequency is set to Daily, the default time range is from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59. Reports are generated and sent from 00:00:00 to 06:00:00 on the next day. The value cannot be changed.
    • If Frequency is set to Weekly, the default time range is from Monday to Sunday. Reports are generated and sent from 00:00:00 to 06:00:00 on the next Monday. The value cannot be changed.
    • If Frequency is set to Monthly, the query range is from the first day to the last day of each month, and reports are generated on the first day of the next month.

    Every day 00:00:00 - 23:59:59

    Recipients

Select the notification group to receive the report. Only the recipients with valid email addresses in this group will be notified. You can either select an existing notification group, or click Create Notification Group to create a custom one.

You can select up to 10 notification groups at a time.

  4. Click OK.

After the intelligent report is created, you can view it in the intelligent report list. By default, the task is enabled.
