Deleting a Policy

Prerequisites

At least one policy has been created.

Constraints

If a backup or replication policy has been associated with a vault, you must disassociate the policy from the vault before deleting the policy.

Procedure

1. Log in to the CBR console. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
2. In the navigation pane, choose Policies.
3. Click the Backup Policies tab, locate the row that contains the policy you want to delete, and click Delete.
   

   Deleting a policy will not delete the backups generated based on the policy. You can manually delete unwanted backups.

4. In the displayed dialog box, confirm the information, enter DELETE, and click OK.

   After the policy is deleted, a message appears in the upper right corner. If the policy no longer exists in the policy list, it was deleted successfully.
