COST08-02 Implementing Cloud-Native Architecture Transformation
- Risk level

- Key strategies
The cloud-native architecture modernizes applications by transitioning to containerized and microservice-based designs. It leverages cloud-native advantages such as automatic elastic scaling. Containerization can improve resource utilization and avoid idle resources, reducing computing costs, and microservice-based applications can streamline O&M, lowering O&M costs.
Online services, such as advertising and e-commerce, have high SLA requirements and peak hours, resulting in dynamic resource allocation. In contrast, offline services, such as big data and transcoding, require strong computing power but can tolerate delays and occasional errors. To ensure the performance and stability of online services, resources are usually requested during peak hours. As a result, resources are wasted during off-peak hours. Hybrid deployment of online and offline services can effectively improve the overall utilization.
