Managing Access Codes
An access code is an identity credential for calling APIs. Create an access code for setting API call permissions. The permission setting takes effect for the entire AOM 2.0 service.
Scenario
- When installing the UniAgent (new version) on a Linux host through CLI, you need to use an access code. For details, see (New) Installing UniAgents.
- To enable a self-built Prometheus system to read AOM Prometheus data, you need to use an access code when configuring a remote read address. For details, see Configuring the Remote Read Address.
- To report a self-built Prometheus system's data to AOM, you need to use an access code when configuring a remote write address. For details, see Reporting Self-Built Prometheus Instance Data to AOM.
Constraints
- You can create up to 5 .
- Deleted access codes cannot be recovered.
Creating an Access Code
- Log in to the AOM 2.0 console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Settings > Global Settings.
- On the displayed page, choose Authentication in the navigation pane. Click Add Access Code.
- In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK. The system then automatically generates an access code.
Other Operations
After an access code is created, you can perform the operations listed in Table 1.

| Deleting an access code | Click Delete in the Operation column to delete an access code. Deleting an access code may affect API calling. Exercise cautions. |
