Configuring Analysis Dimensions

Scenario

On the RTD web UI, IT O&M administrators can define dimensions to determine the scope of each logical unit.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the RTD web UI as a service user and select a tenant. For details, see Accessing the RTDService Web UI.
  2. Choose Business Management > Basic Configuration > Dimension Management.
  3. Click Add and enter a dimension name and description.
  4. In Database Group, select the MOT cluster group.

    After this option is selected, messages of this dimension are evenly distributed to each MOT cluster in the selected cluster group. You can bind multiple dimensions to different cluster groups to improve service reliability and achieve fault isolation.

  5. Click OK.

    • After a dimension is created, you can view its details and all dimensions on the Dimension Management page. You can click Delete to delete a dimension.
    • If a dimension is bound to an event source, the dimension cannot be deleted. To delete the dimension, remove the dependency.
