Asset Identification and Management
DLI allows you to use tags to identify and manage resources.
Scenario
Generally, your service system may use multiple Huawei Cloud services. You can set tags for different resource instances of these cloud services. These tags are also displayed in the billing records of each service. If your system is composed of multiple applications, setting the same tag for all resource instances used for each application helps you easily analyze resource usage and costs.
For DLI, tags are used to identify and classify purchased queues and created databases. If you add tags to a queue or database, CDRs generated by the requests for the queue or database will contain these tags. Using the tags, you can classify CDRs for detailed cost analysis.
For example, if a department uses a queue, you can add the department name to the queue as a tag. You can use tags to analyze the CDRs for development and usage costs of the department.
A tag is a key-value pair. By default, you can add 20 tags for a queue. Each tag has only one key and one value. The key and value can exist in either sequence in a tag. Each key is unique among all tags of a cluster, whereas values can be repetitive or blank.
How to Use
You can create queues and database tags on the DLI management console. For details, see Managing Queue Tags.
