Can Live Stream Recording Be Started and Stopped at Any Time?

On-demand recording is supported. You can start or stop live video recording as required in either of the following ways:

• Performing operations on the console
  1. Log in to the Live console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Domains.
  3. Click Settings in the row containing the target ingest domain name.
  4. In the navigation pane, choose Template Settings > Recording (New Version).
  5. Click Create Recording Template and set the recording type to Manual. For details about the parameters in the recording template, see Configuring a Recording Template.
  6. You can call the API for submitting a recording command to start or stop recording live streams.
• Calling an API
  1. Set the recording type parameter record_type to COMMAND_RECORD by calling the API for creating a recording template.
  2. Set the action parameter to start or stop recording live streams by calling the API for submitting a recording command.
