Description

Chinese mainland: Only BGP is supported. Outside the Chinese mainland: Only AnyCast is supported.

Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is a routing protocol used between autonomous systems (ASs). BGP is the only protocol that can process many connections between unrelated routing domains.

Anycast: a network addressing and routing method in which a single IP address is shared by devices (usually servers) in multiple locations. A router uses its decision algorithm (usually based on the lowest number of BGP network hops) to direct packets to the location closest to the sender. It is usually used to provide high reliability and load balancing.
