Backup and Restoration

Back up and restore SAP systems, including SAP NetWeaver instances and SAP HANA databases.

• Backup and restoration of SAP NetWeaver

  Formulate backup policies based on service requirements and HUAWEI CLOUD best practices. You can use a private image as a backup of OS disks and use VBS to back up data disks, allowing cloud servers to quickly restore data when data is lost or damaged and ensuring proper service running. You can also back up and restore data by referring to standard documents on the SAP official website.

• Backup and restoration of SAP HANA databases

  The HANA system or storage replication function ensures HA and remote DR and restoration for SAP HANA databases. You can back up SAP HANA in following ways:

  • Use SAP HANA Studio to back up SAP HANA. For details, see section "Backing up and Restoring Data" in the SAP HANA User Guide (Single Node).
