Creating a New Project (Optional)
Scenario
Apart from importing MapReduce sample projects, you can also create a new MapReduce project using IntelliJ IDEA.
Procedure
- Open IntelliJ IDEA and choose Figure 1. , as shown in
- On the New Project page, select Java, and then configure the JDK and other Java libraries required by the project. As shown in the following figure. After the configuration is complete, click Next.

- Enter the name of the new project in the dialog box. Click Finish.
