How Do I Roll Back the CodeArts Agent Extension to an Earlier Version?

To roll back the CodeArts Agent extension to an earlier version, follow the steps below.

Rolling back to an earlier version may cause data configured based on new functions to be lost. Exercise caution when performing this operation. It is recommended that you back up important data before the rollback.

Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code allows you to roll back the CodeArts Agent extension to an earlier version. Perform the following operations:

  1. Open Visual Studio Code and click in the navigation pane on the left.
  2. In the search box, enter CodeArts Agent and press Enter.
  3. In the search result, click and select Install Specific Version....

  4. On the displayed page, select a version to which you want to roll back.
  5. After the installation is complete, check that the target version number is displayed in the Version field.
  6. Click Restart Extensions to start using CodeArts Agent.

CodeArts Agent deeply integrates with mainstream JetBrains IDEs, including PyCharm, IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, and CLion, providing developers with a seamless cloud-based programming experience.

This section uses IntelliJ IDEA as an example to describe how to roll back CodeArts Agent.

  1. Start IntelliJ IDEA and choose File > Settings.... The IntelliJ IDEA settings page is displayed.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Plugins. On the Installed tab page, click Plugin homepage under CodeArts Agent.

  3. On the displayed page, click the Versions tab. The Plugin Versions page is displayed. Select IntelliJ IDEA from the Compatibility drop-down list. Before the rollback, you are advised to check the JetBrains series in use.

  4. Under Plugin Versions, locate the CodeArts Agent version you want to roll back to and click Download to download the installation package to the local host.

    In the Plugin Versions table, the Version column displays the CodeArts Agent version, and the Compatibility Range column displays the IntelliJ IDEA version range.

    To roll back CodeArts Agent to version 26.3.6, ensure that the current IntelliJ IDEA version is within 2021.3 to 2022.2.5. You are advised to check the current IntelliJ IDEA version before performing a rollback.

  5. Return to the IntelliJ IDEA settings page and click Plugins in the navigation pane on the left. The Plugins page is displayed.
  6. Click at the top of the page and select Install Plugin from Disk.

  7. Select the downloaded CodeArts Agent package and click OK. IntelliJ IDEA will check the dependencies and install the extension.
  8. After the installation is complete, click Restart IDE or manually restart IDEA to activate the extension.
