Monitored Cloud Eye Events

Function

Event monitoring provides data collection, query, and alarm reporting for events. You can configure alarm rules on Cloud Eye to monitor critical events or operation events related to your cloud resources. Once configured, Cloud Eye will notify you when the specified events happen.

The collection process of the Agent was faulty.

  • Check whether the Agent domain name can be resolved.
  • Check whether your account is in arrears.
  • The Agent process is faulty. Restart the Agent. If the fault persists after the restart, the Agent files may be damaged. In this case, reinstall the Agent.
  • Check whether the server time is inconsistent with the local standard time.
  • If the DNS server is not a Huawei Cloud DNS server, run the dig domain-name command to obtain the IP address of agent.ces.myhuaweicloud.com resolved by the Huawei Cloud DNS server over the intranet, and then add the IP address to the corresponding hosts file.
  • Update the Agent to the latest version.

The agent will no longer collect or report metrics.
