Deleting Instance Nodes
You can delete nodes that are no longer used to release resources.
Usage Notes
- Deleted nodes cannot be recovered. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
- Only pay-per-use instances can be deleted.
- Deleting nodes will cause the OPS to decrease for a short period of time. Deleting nodes during off-peak hours.
- If you enable operation protection to improve the security of your account and cloud products, two-factor authentication is required for sensitive operations. For details about how to enable operation protection, see Identity and Access Management User Guide.
Procedure
- Log in to the Huawei Cloud console.
- In the service list, choose Databases > GeminiDB Cassandra API.
- On the Instances page, locate the instance that you want to delete nodes from and click its name.
- In the Node Information area on the Basic Information page, locate the node you want to delete and click Delete in the Operation column.
- If you have enabled operation protection, click Start Verification in the Delete Node dialog box. On the displayed page, click Send Code, enter the verification code, and click Verify. The page is closed automatically.
- In the displayed dialog box, click Yes.
- When the node is being deleted, the instance status is Deleting node.
- After the node is deleted, the instance status becomes Available.
