Creating a Database Account

Function

This API is used to create a database account. Before calling this API:

POST /v3/{project_id}/instances/{instance_id}/clickhouse/users

instance_id

ClickHouse instance ID, which is compliant with the UUID format.

To obtain this value, call the IAM API for obtaining a user token.

The value of X-Subject-Token in the response header is the token value.

user_name

Username of the database account. The username can be 2 to 32 characters long. It must start with a lowercase letter and end with a lowercase letter or digit. Only lowercase letters, digits, and underscores (_) are allowed.

password

Account password. The password must:

  • Consist of 8 to 32 characters.
  • Contain at least three of the following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, and special characters ~!@#%^*-_=+?
  • Be different from the username or the username spelled backwards.

databases

Database list. The asterisk (*) indicates all databases.

dml

No

Integer

DML permissions. The default value is 2. Values:

  • 1: read-only permissions
  • 2: read and configure permissions
