Obtaining a Project ID

Obtaining a Project ID by Calling an API

You can also obtain a project ID by calling the API for querying project information.

The API for obtaining a project ID is GET https://{Endpoint}/v3/projects. {Endpoint} indicates the IAM endpoint, which can be obtained from Regions and Endpoints. For details about API authentication, see Authentication.

The following is an example response. The value of id is the project ID.

{
    "projects": [
        {
            "domain_id": "65382450e8f64ac0870cd180d14e****",
            "is_domain": false,
            "parent_id": "65382450e8f64ac0870cd180d14e****",
            "name": "cn-north-4",
            "description": "",
            "links": {

            "enabled": true
        }
    ],

        "previous": null,
        "self": "https://www.example.com/v3/projects"

Obtaining a Project ID from the Console

You need to enter a project ID in some URLs when calling an API. To obtain a project ID, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to Huawei Cloud console.
  2. Hover over the username in the upper right corner and choose My Credentials from the drop-down list.
  3. On the Projects tab of the API Credentials page, view project IDs.

    If there are multiple projects, unfold the target region and obtain the project IDs from the Project ID column.
