Task Center

Overview

• Task list: The list of tasks under the current project.
  

  Tasks created in Single Server/Small-Scale Migration are not displayed in the task list.

• Task monitoring: The execution status and progress of each migration task.
• Checking task details: The detailed information about each migration task, including parameters and resources.
• Task operations: You can start or pause migration tasks.

Managing Tasks

1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Center. On the Tasks tab, check created migration tasks.
3. Click a task name to view the task details, including the overall progress and the migration status of resources contained in the task.
   

   When the workflow on a resource reaches a step requiring manual confirmation, confirm the action based on on-screen instructions and click Confirm in the Operation column. Alternatively, click the resource name and click Confirm on the displayed page. The workflow will then continue with the remaining migration steps.

4. Perform operations on the resources contained in the task. The table below shows the operations supported for each resource type.

Exporting a Migration Report

You can export reports for paused and completed migration tasks. Saving them to a local directory helps you monitor statistics, trace task progress, and improve management efficiency.

1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Center.
2. Choose More > View Report in the Operation column of a paused or completed task.
3. Check the task details or click Export in the upper right corner to download the report. Wait for the message "Migration report exported." to be displayed

Deleting a Task

Tasks in the following states can be deleted: Configuring, Pending, Paused, Deletion failed, and Successful.

1. In the navigation pane on the left, click Task Center.
2. In the task list, locate the task to be deleted and choose More > Delete in the Operation column.
3. Confirm the selected task, enter DELETE, and click Confirm. Wait until the task disappears from the task list.
   

   To prevent resource deletion failures caused by disconnection of the task from related services (such as SMS, OMS, and OBS), you can select Force Delete to forcibly delete the resources. However, this operation only deletes the resource data from MgC. It may not delete the related tasks and resources in the related cloud services like SMS, OMS, and OBS. You must delete any remaining resources manually.
