Overview

When migrating resources across clouds or heterogeneous environments, real-time visibility into status and progress is essential. Most migration platforms lack a unified view, but MgC solves this with a central dashboard that shows resource statistics, task status, and migration metrics for servers and storage. You can click any item to see details and take targeted actions, improving observability and operational efficiency.

Prerequisites

Checking Collected Resources

This area displays the numbers of collected resources in the current project, including servers, storage, containers, big data, databases, middleware, and networks. You can click a number to go to the corresponding resource list.

  1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Overview.
  3. In the Collected Resources area, check the number of resources of each type in the current project. Click a number to check the resource list.

Checking Migration Tasks

This area displays the distribution of server and storage migration tasks by status. The status can be Completed, Ongoing, Pending, or Abnormal.

  1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Overview.
  3. Check the status of server and storage migration tasks in the Migration Progress area. Click the number under a status to go to the list of tasks in that status.

Checking Completed Migrations

This area shows the number of migrated servers and the migrated data volume (e.g., in MB) of storage resources. This page does not include tasks that have been deleted from the current project.

  1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select your application migration project from the drop-down list.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Overview.
  3. In the Completed Migrations (by Object Type) area, check the number of migrated servers and storage capacity in the current project.
