Viewing Private Image Details
Scenarios
After a private image is created, you can view and manage it on the management console. This section describes how to view details about a private image, including the image name, image type, disk capacity, image source, boot mode, and whether the image is encrypted.
Procedure
- Log in to the IMS console.
- In the private image list, click the name of the private image to be queried.
The system automatically switches to the private image details page.

- View the private image details.
Table 1 lists the private image attributes. Table 2 lists the supported operations, such as applying for servers, modifying image attributes, adding shared tenants, and adding tags.

Description
Name
Image name.
ID
Unique identifier of an image.
Image Type
A private image can be a system disk image, data disk image, ISO image, or full-ECS image.
Disk Capacity
The maximum storage capacity of the disk, in GiB.
OS
Operating system information.
Status
Image status.
Licenses Type
When creating a private image from an image file, you can use Bring Your Own License (BYOL). If you already have a license for the OS, you can directly use the license after creating an ECS and do not need to apply for a new one.
Minimum Memory
The minimum memory required for running the image. The value is determined by the cloud server specifications. For details about cloud server specifications, see ECS Specifications.
Image Size
Storage space occupied by the image data, in GiB. This parameter is not displayed when the image type is the full-ECS image.
Maximum Memory
The maximum memory required for running the image. The value is determined by the cloud server specifications. For details about cloud server specifications, see ECS Specifications.
Released
Image release status. This parameter specifies whether the image has been published to KooGallery for other users to purchase and use for ECS or BMS creation.
Created
Time when the image creation started.
Completed
Time when the image creation succeeded.
Source
The source of the original data required for creating a private image. Generally, a source can be a cloud server, a CSBS backup, a CBR backup, or an external image file.
Description
The description of the image.
OS Type
The operating system type of the image, which can be Linux or Windows.
NIC Multi-Queue
Specifies whether the image supports NIC multi-queue. NIC multi-queue can allocate NIC interrupts to multiple vCPUs on the cloud server to achieve higher network PPS and bandwidth performance. For details about how to enable NIC multi-queue, see How Do I Enable NIC Multi-Queue for an Image?
Enterprise Project
The enterprise project that the image belongs to. For more information about enterprise projects, see Enterprise Center.
Boot Mode
The boot mode of the image, which can be BIOS or UEFI. For details about the differences between the two boot modes, see How Is BIOS Different from UEFI?
Architecture
The architecture of the image, which can be x86 or Arm.
SR-IOV Driver
Specifies whether the image supports the SR-IOV driver. The SR-IOV driver is a device driver that supports the SR-IOV technology. It enables the OS to identify and use the virtual functions (VFs) virtualized from the physical NICs. After the driver is installed, VMs can directly access the VF NICs to send and receive data, bypassing the software forwarding at the hypervisor layer. This significantly reduces the network latency, improves the performance, and delivers near-bare-metal virtualization performance.
Fast ECS Creation
Specifies whether the image supports fast ECS creation. If it does not, you are advised to configure it to support this function.
Virtio-net Passthrough
Specifies whether the image supports virtio-net passthrough. Virtio-net passthrough is a paravirtualized network acceleration feature. It passes the virtio-net virtual network device directly to a VM, enabling the VM to bypass hypervisor-level software forwarding paths for efficient data transmission and reception. This feature requires the virtio-net driver to be installed inside the VM. Compared with fully virtualized NICs, virtio-net passthrough significantly reduces network latency and improves performance while maintaining support for virtualization features such as live migration.
Signed
Specifies whether the image is signed. You can create a signed image (an image with a digital signature) for high data reliability.

Description
Applying for a server
You can use a private image to apply for an ECS. The created ECS contains an OS, preinstalled public applications, and the user's personal applications. For details about how to apply for an ECS, see Purchasing an ECS in Custom Config Mode.
Modifying an image
You can modify image attributes, for example, changing the image name. For details, see Modifying an Image.
Exporting an image
You can export an image to a standard OBS bucket and download it to your local PC. For details, see Exporting an Image.
Managing shared tenants
You can add or delete image recipients. Batch operations are supported. For details, see Adding Image Recipients or Deleting Image Recipients.
Associating a data disk image
You can view information about the data disk image associated with the system disk image. A data disk image is generated when you add a data disk when creating a system disk image from an image file. For details, see Creating a System Disk Image from an External Image File.
Viewing backup details
You can view the disk capacity of the full-ECS image. For details, see Check the Disk Capacity of a Full-ECS Image.
Managing tags
You can use tags to classify images. You can add, modify, or delete image tags, or search for images by tag in the image list. For details, see Managing Tags.
