Professional Event Stream Clusters

Constraints

To create a professional event stream cluster, you need to submit a service ticket to apply for the whitelist.

Creating a Professional Event Stream Cluster

  1. Logging In to the EG Console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Event Streams > Professional Event Stream Clusters.
  3. Click Buy Cluster in the upper right corner. On the displayed page, configure the following information:

    1. Basic info:
      1. Billing Mode: Pay-per-use is used by default.
      2. Cluster Name: Start with a letter or digit, and only include letters, digits, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). (Max. 128 characters)
      3. Description: Enter a description.
    2. Source and target databases:
      1. Source Database: Select Kafka, RocketMQ, or DCS.
      2. Target Database: Select Kafka, RocketMQ, or DCS.
      3. ECUs: The default value is 10 ECU.

10 ECUs support 1 to 10 concurrent jobs with 400,000 QPS for Kafka, 30,000 QPS for RocketMQ, and 100,000 QPS for DCS.

    3. Network configuration:
      1. VPC: Select the created VPC. For details about how to create a VPC, see Creating a VPC.
      2. Subnet: Select the created subnet. For details about how to create a subnet, see Creating a Subnet for a VPC.

Ensure that the VPC and subnet configured for the event stream cluster can communicate with the VPC and subnet configured for the source and target instances of Kafka, RocketMQ, or DCS. Otherwise, the connectivity test fails.

  4. After the parameters are configured, click Confirm.
