Creating a Custom Metric or Event Template

Constraints

• A user can create up to 200 custom alarm templates.
• Up to 50 alarm policies can be added for a single service in an alarm template.
• Up to 1,000 alarm policies can be added to an alarm template.

Creating a Custom Template

1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.

2. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Rule Settings.
3. Click the Alarm Templates tab.
   

   In some regions, the path is Alarm Management > Alarm Templates.

4. On the Custom Metric Templates or Custom Event Templates tab page, click Create Custom Template.
5. On the displayed page, configure basic information.

6. Configure the alarm policy as prompted.

   Method	You can select Use existing template or Configure manually. Use existing template: You can select one or more existing templates. If you select multiple existing templates, the metric information is distinguished by resource type. Configure manually: You can customize an alarm template as required.	Configure manually

7. Click Create.
