Creating an AOM Endpoint

After Cloud Native Cluster Monitoring of CCE Autopilot collects custom metrics, the metrics must be reported to AOM. When using custom metric-based HPA, you also need to read metrics from AOM. However, due to network isolation, direct metric reporting or reading between Cloud Native Cluster Monitoring and AOM may fail. To establish connectivity, create VPC endpoints to link Cloud Native Cluster Monitoring with AOM for metric reporting and reading. This requires purchasing two VPC endpoints for AOM on the Network Console.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VPC Endpoint console. The VPC Endpoints page is displayed.
  2. Click Buy VPC Endpoint.
  3. Buy two VPC endpoints for AOM.

    1. Select the region where the VPC endpoint will be located.
    2. Set Service Category to Cloud services.
    3. Under Service List, search for AOM, select the service ending in aom-access, and select Create a Private Domain Name.

  4. Select the VPC and Subnet for the VPC endpoint. Retain default settings for other parameters. For more details, see Buying a VPC Endpoint.
  5. Repeat the preceding steps to purchase a second endpoint for the service ending in aom.
