Can I Expand a Single Shard of a Cluster Instance (Scale-Up)?

Cluster DCS Redis 3.0 instances cannot be scaled up. The shard size of a cluster DCS Redis 4.0 or later instance can be scaled up. For more information about scale-up impacts, see Impact of scaling.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the DCS console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the console and select the region where your instance is located.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Cache Manager.
  4. Choose More > Modify Specifications in the row containing the desired DCS instance.
  5. Set Sharding to Customize and select a Shard Size.
