What Should I Do If I Cannot View Chat History in the Original Project?

Symptom

After any of the following operations is performed, chat history in the original project cannot be viewed in the chat panel of CodeArts Agent IDE.

• Change the name of the current project or the name of any folder in the complete path of the project.

  For example, as shown in the figure below, if you rename the project name from IDE to IDE-TEST in CodeArts Agent IDE and click , the system returns "No history found."

• Migrate the current project to another local directory.

  For example, the current project is migrated from D:\IDE to E:\IDE.

Cause Analysis

In version 26.3.5 and later, chat history is displayed by project. After the project name or path is changed, the chat history is isolated. In this case, if you open the project with a new name in CodeArts Agent, you cannot view the chat history of the original project.

Solution

Select a solution as required.

• If you have changed the project name, change it back to the original name.
  1. In the preceding example, change the project name from IDE-TEST back to the original name IDE and restart CodeArts Agent IDE.
  2. Click to view the chat history in the original project.

• If you have migrated the current project to another local directory, migrate the project back to the original storage directory.

  In the preceding example, migrate the project from drive E back to the original directory D:\IDE.
