Preparing an RDS for PostgreSQL Instance in the DR Center
This section describes how to create a VPC, security group, and an RDS for PostgreSQL instance in the DR center.
- The VPC subnet CIDR block of the DR instance must be different from that of the production instance. This is the prerequisite for cross-region network connection.
- The security groups in the production center and DR center must allow access from the database ports in the VPC subnet CIDR blocks to each other.
Step 1: Create a VPC and Security Group
- Go to the Create VPC page.
- Select AP-Singapore for Region. Configure the basic information, subnet, and IP address.
