Transferring Record Sets Between Accounts
Scenarios
If you need to change the account used for record sets for some reason, such as centralized or separated resource management, business restructuring or splitting, or resource conflicts, you can transfer the record sets to another Huawei Cloud account.
Constraints
- The destination account needs to pass real-name authentication and enable the project in CN North-Beijing4.
- Only the record sets in your account can be transferred.
- A maximum of 1000 record sets can be transferred at a time.
- Only record sets added to public zones can be transferred in batches.
- Before transferring domain names, you must ensure that the destination account can log in to the DNS console to perform operations on the domain names.
- Transferring domain names in batches are asynchronous. During the transfer, do not perform operations on the domain names that are being transferred, or data may not be synchronized.
- Record sets with custom lines cannot be transferred.
- Record sets added on the Huawei Cloud Chinese Mainland websites cannot be transferred to the Huawei Cloud International website, vice versa.

You can transfer all records of a domain name to Huawei Cloud and change the DNS server addresses of the domain name to the DNS server addresses provided by Huawei Cloud. |
Yes If there is no cache delay on the local DNS server, the new record sets take effect immediately. During the migration, the TTL value in the NS record ret and the local DNS cache affects the application of the new DNS server. During the transfer, the resolution may be interrupted. It takes up to 48 hours to apply the change. If there is no cache delay on the local DNS server, the new record sets take effect immediately. |
