- Open the local Git Bash client and run the command below to clone the code repository to the local PC. During the command execution, complete authentication in the automatically displayed browser window in a timely manner.
- If you are on the Internet, run the following command:
git clone -b develop https://github.com/GitHub username/Repository name.git - If you are on the intranet, run the following command:
git clone -b develop \ -c http.proxy="http://<proxy_user>:<proxy_password>@<proxy_host>:<proxy_port>" \ -c https.proxy="http://<proxy_user>:<proxy_password>@<proxy_host>:<proxy_port>" \ https://github.com/GitHub username/Repository name.git
In the preceding command, <proxy_user>:<proxy_password> indicates the user name and password used for proxy login, <proxy_host> indicates the domain name of the proxy server, <proxy_port> indicates the listening port of the proxy service, and https://github.com/GitHub username/Repository name.git needs to be replaced with the cloned HTTPS address of the code repository.
If your password contains special characters such as @ and %, escape them using URL encoding before entering the password. Otherwise, the proxy configuration will be invalid.
For example, if your password is Admin%@test, the password after URL encoding is Admin%25%40test. For details about URL encoding for common special characters, see Table 1.
