Application Scenarios
An AZ contains one or more physical data centers. Each AZ has independent cooling, fire extinguishing, moisture-proof, and electricity facilities. Within an AZ, compute, network, storage, and other resources are logically divided into multiple clusters. AZs within the same region are interconnected using high-speed optical fibers to support cross-AZ high-availability systems. For details, see Region and AZ.
- If you require high availability, buy servers in different AZs.
- If you require low network latency, buy servers in the same AZ.
Solution
When you are creating or modifying an AS group, specify multiple AZs. For more information, see Regions and Endpoints.
Rule Logic
- If an AS group is deployed in two or more AZs, the AS group is compliant.
- If an AS group is deployed in only one AZ, the AS group is non-compliant.
