Viewing the Installed MRS Cluster Client

During cluster O&M, administrators must monitor MRS cluster client details, including installed nodes, installation paths, and deployed components. When a client encounters errors or connection faults, viewing client details helps quickly locate the affected node.

MRS Manager centrally manages cluster client information. When you download and install a client, MRS Manager automatically records its registration details for easy querying and management. You can also manually add or update records for clients that do not register automatically, such as those installed in earlier cluster versions.

Notes and Constraints

This section applies only to MRS 3.x or later.

Viewing the Installed Cluster Client

  1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager of the MRS cluster.

For details about how to log in to FusionInsight Manager, see Accessing MRS Manager.

  2. Choose Cluster and choose Client Management to view information about clients installed in the cluster.

You can view the IP address, installation path, component list, registration time, and installation user of the node where the client is located.

When the client is downloaded and installed in the cluster of the latest version, the client information is automatically registered.

  3. (Optional) To manually add information about an installed client, click Add and manually add the IP address, installation path, user, platform information, and registration information of the client as prompted.

Configure the client information and click OK.

You can also manually modify or delete the information about the manually registered client.

  4. (Optional) On the Client Management page, select the target clients and click Export All to export all registered client information to the local PC.

On the Client Management page, only components with clients are displayed in the component list. Therefore, components without clients or with special clients are not displayed.

    Verifying the client management results:

    • Ensure that the IP address, installation path, component list, and registration time of the installed client are displayed correctly on the client management page.
    • Check that the manually added client information appears in the client list and is accurate.
    • After exporting the client information, ensure that the exported file contains complete details for all registered clients.

FAQs

  • What should I do if client information is not automatically registered?

Clients installed in earlier cluster versions might not register automatically with MRS Manager. In this case, you can manually add the client information. Ensure that details such as the IP address and installation path match the actual installation location.

  • What should I do if some components are not displayed in the component list?

The component list shows only components that have installed clients. Components without clients and certain specialized components do not appear here. This is expected behavior and does not impact cluster operations.
