An application system can be deployed at multiple locations to prevent system unavailability due to infrastructure faults at one location.

- Deploy an application system that has high availability requirements in multiple regions to prevent service interruptions caused by faults in a single region.
- If a multi-AZ architecture can meet application availability requirements, multi-region deployment is not required.
