Why Are No Recording Files Created After I Configured a Recording to OBS Template?

It is possible that:

  • Live has not been authorized to access OBS. Log in to the Live console. In the navigation pane, choose OBS Authorization to grant the permissions for accessing an OBS bucket to Live.

    Only the account administrator can authorize cloud resources. IAM users cannot grant authorizations.

  • The codec is neither H.264 nor H.265. Live supports the two codecs only.
