Load Balancer Type

It specifies the type of the load balancer interconnected with a Service. Shared and dedicated load balancers are supported, and they can be created automatically.

Select a proper load balancer type.

Options:

  • union: shared load balancers
  • performance: (Recommended) dedicated load balancers. They are supported by clusters 1.17 or later.

Value Range

performance for regions where ELB v3 is supported

union for regions where ELB v3 is not supported

Default Value

performance

Modifiable

Yes

Scope

CCE standard and CCE Turbo clusters

Suggestions

Set the parameter to performance. Dedicated load balancers support advanced features like source address persistence and passthrough networking.

Shared load balancers do not support source address persistence. In CCE Turbo clusters, shared load balancers do not support passthrough networking and can only be used in the NodePort Services.
