How Do I Check and Obtain Required Project Permissions?
Checking My Permissions
- Go to the target project, and choose Settings > Members from the navigation pane. The member management page is displayed.
- Click the Member View tab, find your username in the list, and check the Role column.
- Choose Settings > Permissions from the navigation pane. The permissions management page is displayed.
- In the role list, click the role name obtained in 2 to view its permissions.
(Project Administrator) Granting Permissions to a Member
A project administrator can grant the required permissions to a member using either of the following methods:
- Method 1: Change the member's role to a new role to get the relevant permissions.
- Go to the target project, and choose Settings > Permissions from the navigation pane. The permissions management page is displayed.
- Check the permissions of each role and identify the role that includes the necessary permissions.
- Choose Settings > Members from the navigation pane. The member management page is displayed.
- Click the Member View tab, find the target user in the list, and click
in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, select the role obtained in 2 and click OK.
- Method 2: Add the required permissions to the member's role in the project. Then all members with this role have these permissions.
- Go to the target project, and choose Settings > Members from the navigation pane. The member management page is displayed.
- Click the Member View tab, find the target user in the list, and check the Role column.
- Choose Settings > Permissions from the navigation pane. The permissions management page is displayed.
- In the role list, click the role name obtained in 2, click Edit, find and select the required permissions, and click Save.
