Why Am I Prompted that My Permissions Are Insufficient When Running a Build Task?

Symptoms

A build task fails and an error message appears indicating that you lack the necessary permissions.

Cause Analysis

If you do not know your role or if it has been changed, you may lack the required permissions to perform builds. This means you will not be able to perform any operations on the task.

Solution

1. Contact the task administrator (the task creator or project creator) to configure the task operation permissions.
2. The administrator goes to the Permissions tab page of the task and enables the required operation permissions.
