Managing File Metadata

Context

Unlike a file system, OBS does not involve the concepts of file and folder. Versioning provides an approach to recover objects if they are accidentally overwritten or deleted. You can save and retrieve any version of an object to recover from unintended actions or application failures. Versioning can also be used for retaining and archiving data.

Procedure

1. Log in to OBS Browser+.
2. Click the name of the target bucket to go to the object management page. Right-click the file to be viewed and choose Metadata from the shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 1.

3. View the current metadata of the file, as shown in Figure 2.

4. (Optional) On the Metadata page, modify the metadata information. For example, modify Content-Disposition, as shown in Figure 3.

5. Click OK.
