Copying a Database

Copying a Database
Scenarios
You can copy a database on a DB instance.
Constraints
- Copying a database with a large amount of data takes an extended period of time.
- System databases master, tempdb, model, msdb, and rdsadmin cannot be copied.
Procedure
- Log in to the management console.
- Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
- Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > Relational Database Service.
- On the Instances page, click the instance name.
- On the Databases page, locate the target database and choose More > Copy in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, enter the new database name and click OK.
