IPD-Standalone Software Project Reviews

IPD-standalone software projects have three review types: change review (CR), baseline review (BR), and general review (GR). They are described in Table 1.

The review ticket lists (CR, BR, and GR) display information such as the current handler, review result, and decision-making result.

  • For review tickets awaiting submission or in revoked state, the handler is the creator.
  • For review tickets pending review or decision, the handler is the reviewer or decision-maker.
  • The displayed review and decision-making results are for all review objects.
  • The table header and search box above the review ticket list do not support filtering by current handler, review result, or decision-making result.

Change review (CR)

When a work item changes, you need to create a CR ticket to track the change. The changed content is synced to the source work item only after the content is reviewed.

  • RRs and bugs: You can only add RRs and bugs that are defined by the responsible project workflow and belong to the status node with editable controlled fields. Then, modify the controlled fields (marked with the icon) of the requirement change, and select the Decision-Maker and Reviewer.
  • For work item types other than RRs and bugs: After adding the objects, modify the controlled fields (marked with the icon) of the requirement change, or move the work items into or out of a baselined release or iteration, and select the Decision-Maker and Reviewer.

Change types include Move in/out of a baseline release or iteration, Modify, and Delete.

  • Move in/out of a baseline release or iteration: The release or iteration after the change becomes a baseline release or iteration, or the release or iteration before the change is a baseline release or iteration.
  • Modify: Modify the baseline lock field of a baseline work item.
  • Delete: Delete a baseline work item.

RRs and bugs: Only Move in/out of a baseline release or iteration and Modify are supported.

Work item types other than RRs and bugs: All change types are supported, including Move in/out of a baseline release or iteration, Modify, and Delete.
  • For IPD-system device projects: RR, SF, IR, SR, AR, task, and bug
  • For IPD-standalone software projects: RR, SF, IR, US, task, and bug

Baseline review (BR)

To baseline a work item, you need to initiate a baseline review. The work item will be baselined only after the review is approved.
  • For IPD-system device projects: SF, IR, SR, AR, and task
  • For IPD-standalone software projects: SF, IR, US, and task

General review (GR)

To review a work item, you can initiate a general review. The work item takes effect only after the review is approved.
  • For IPD-system device projects: RR, SF, IR, SR, AR, task, and bug
  • For IPD-standalone software projects: RR, SF, IR, US, task, and bug
