Failed to Delete a Backup
Symptom
The Delete button is unavailable, or a backup fails to be deleted.
Troubleshooting
Possible causes are listed here in order of their probability.
If the fault persists after you have ruled out one cause, move on to the next one.
Possible Cause |
Solution |
---|---|
The backup is being created or is being used for restoration. |
Wait until the backup is created or the restoration completes and then delete it. |
The backup is a cloud server backup and has been used to create an image, so the Delete button for the backup is grayed out. |
Delete the image before deleting the backup. For details, see Deleting Images. |
A system exception occurs. |
Delete the backup again. If the problem persists, submit a service ticket. |
Insufficient permissions. |
Check whether the account has the deletion permission on the IAM console. |
