Using the Experience Platform

You can ask questions on the experience platform and get answers based on related content in knowledge bases.

  • Search: Content related to your questions is searched for in a knowledge base.
  • Q&A: Accurate answers rather than search results matched by keywords are generated by the foundation model.

Prerequisites

  • A knowledge base has been created, documents have been uploaded, and the knowledge base is enabled.
  • You have created a LakeSearch user, for example, lakeuser, and added it to the lakesearchgroup. For details about user creation and permission management, see Creating a LakeSearch Role.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the LakeSearch web UI as lakeuser. For details, see Accessing the LakeSearch Web UI.
  2. Create a knowledge base, upload documents, and enable the knowledge base. For details, see Managing Knowledge Bases.
  3. Choose Experience Platform on the left and select Search or Q&A on the upper right corner.
  4. Click the icon on the right of Q&A, select the knowledge base you want to searched, and click OK.
  5. Enter a question in the text box and click the search icon or press Enter.
  6. You can like the answer, give feedback, copy the answer, view reference, and perform other operations on the answer page.
