Creating a Resource Pool Federation

Scenarios

All operations in this section are performed on the local cloud. Compute can be used across clouds only after the resource pools of the local cloud and collaboration cloud are added to a resource pool federation. Therefore, you need to create a resource pool federation on the local cloud first. This section describes how to create a resource pool federation on the local cloud.

Prerequisites

Standard clusters 2.0 have been created on both the local cloud and collaboration cloud.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the ModelArts console using a tenant account and ensure that the current environment is the local cloud.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Resource Management > Resource Pool Federation. On the displayed page, click Create Resource Pool Federation in the upper right corner.
  3. Enter the name and description, select resource pools, and click OK.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

Enter a resource pool federation name. The resource pool federation name must be unique and cannot be empty.

    Description (Optional)

Enter the resource pool federation description.

    Add Resource Pool

The number of resource pools in a resource pool federation ranges from 1 to 2. When creating a resource pool federation, you must add at least one resource pool from the local cloud. Resource pools from the collaboration cloud cannot be added during creation.

    • Physical Resource Pool: name of the physical resource pool
    • Status: unavailable, running, deleting, and other options Set this parameter as needed.
    • Region: region where the resource pool is located
    • Node Pool Specifications: model specifications of the node pool

After the resource pool federation is created, you can view the created resource pools in the resource pool federation.
