Creating an RDS for MySQL Instance
Create an RDS for MySQL instance (source database), and select the VPC and EIP you configured for the instance.
Procedure
- Go to the Buy DB Instance page.
- Select CN-Hong Kong for Region. Configure instance information and click Buy.

- Confirm the settings.
- To modify your settings, click Previous.
- If there is no need to modify your settings, click Submit.
- Bind an EIP to the created instance.
- On the Instances page, click the instance name to go to the Overview page.

- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Connectivity & Security. In the Connection Information area, click Bind next to the EIP field.
- In the displayed dialog box, all unbound EIPs are listed. Select the EIP you have created for the instance and click Yes.

- On the Instances page, click the instance name to go to the Overview page.
