Updating Data Connection Information

Function

This API is used to update information about a data connection.

Calling Method

For details, see Calling APIs.

Authorization Information

Each account has all the permissions required to call all APIs, but IAM users must be assigned the required permissions.

  • If you are using role/policy-based authorization, see Permissions Policies and Supported Actions for details on the required permissions.
  • If you are using identity policy-based authorization, no identity policy-based permission required for calling this API.

Data connection type, for example, DWS, DLI, Hive, RDS, or SparkSQL. You can view all data connection types on the console and obtain data connections from Data Connections.

dw_config

Object

Configuration items for the data connection. They vary depending on the connection type. You are advised to debug them on the console.

agent_name

String

CDM cluster name. For details about how to obtain it, see Listing Clusters. In most scenarios, you need to specify the cluster to use. You can confirm whether this parameter is mandatory on the console.

agent_id

No

String

CDM cluster ID. For details about how to obtain it, see Listing Clusters. In most scenarios, you need to specify the cluster to use. You can confirm whether this parameter is mandatory on the console.

support_service

No

String

Applicable components that are allowed to use this data connection. You are advised to select the required components on the console and perform debugging to obtain the corresponding parameter values. By default, all applicable components supported by the connection configuration are selected.

description

Data connection description.

dw_category

Data connection label.

env_type

No

Integer

Environment type. This parameter does not need to be set for simple-mode workspaces. For enterprise-mode workspaces, data connections are distinguished by environment.

Options:

  • 1: Development environment.

  • 2: Production environment.

Data connection creator

Data connection creation time, which is a timestamp

dw_id

Data connection ID, which can be obtained from ListDataconnections.xml.
