Overview

A service gateway acts as an entry point for external traffic into a service mesh. Clients outside your service mesh access services in your service mesh through your service gateway.

A service gateway describes external access ports, protocols, certificates, and other configurations. You can configure routing rules on the service gateway to manage incoming traffic. You can configure different routes for different access protocols.
