Adding a Cluster to a Service Mesh

Service meshes of the Enterprise edition can manage multiple clusters and enable cross-cluster communication between services.

Constraints

  • Currently, clusters of v1.23, v1.25, v1.26, v1.27, v1.28, v1.29, v1.30, v1.31, and v1.32 can be added to service meshes of the Enterprise edition.
  • To meet high availability requirements, a cluster must contain at least two available nodes, and each node must have at least 2 vCPUs and 4 GiB of memory.
  • The CIDR block of a container in a cluster cannot conflict with those of existing clusters in the service mesh. If the cluster and existing clusters in the service mesh are in different VPCs, the subnet CIDR blocks of the cluster cannot conflict with those of existing clusters.

Prerequisites

The Huawei Cloud cluster to be added to the fleet has been registered. If the registration is not complete, see Huawei Cloud Clusters.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the UCS console. In the navigation pane, choose Fleets.
  2. In the card view of the target fleet, click Add Cluster, or click in the upper right corner.

You can also click the fleet name to go to the fleet details page and click Add Cluster in the upper right corner.
