Application Scenarios
An AZ is a physical location that uses independent power supply and networks. AZs in the same region can communicate with each other over an intranet. If your business requires cross-AZ DR or is not sensitive to cross-AZ latency, you are advised to deploy it across AZs.
Solution
Currently, an MRS cluster cannot be deployed across AZs. For details, see the availability_zone field in the API for creating a cluster in Creating a Cluster. Non-compliant result of this rule cannot be remediated.
Rule Logic
- If an MRS cluster is deployed in a single AZ, this cluster is non-compliant.
- If an MRS cluster is deployed in at least two AZs, this cluster is compliant.
